$280million Miami stadium under construction less than 50 miles from NFL home
Miami is getting another stunning sports stadium.
Hard Rock Stadium is the city’s pride and joy, hosting six Super Bowls and seven matches at the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

Inter Miami will also have a soccer venue to be proud of when Nu Stadium is unveiled — a 25,000-seat home in a $1 billion Miami Freedom Park development.
David Beckham’s team will soon have competition with the USL’s Miami FC relocating to a 10,000-capacity venue.
A 92-acre site at the Homestead Sports Complex is being turned into a Sports Performance Hub.
Around $280m is being invested from private sources, which include Argentine sports legends Manu Ginobili, Juan Sebastian Veron, and Juan Monaco.
The new stadium will be surrounded by multi-sport academies, a sports-themed hotel and sports medicine center.
A park and boarding school will provide facilities for families, with coaching offered across soccer, tennis, basketball, baseball, and football.
“We’re creating a place where young athletes can dream bigger, families can see real opportunity close to home, and the Homestead community can thrive alongside them,” Nick Sakiewicz — the CEO of Sports Performance Hub — said.
“By bringing together elite multi-sport training, education, and hospitality, we are building an ecosystem that supports the whole athlete and strengthens the local economy for generations to come.”
Homestead Mayor Steven D. Losner has been a significant advocate for the project.
“This project represents more than new fields and facilities — it’s an investment in our people,” he added.

“The Sports Performance Hub will open doors for our youth, create jobs for our residents, and position Homestead as a destination for opportunity, wellness, and world-class competition.”
Construction has begun on the first phase of the project.
Academies and training infrastructure will be completed this year, before the the stadium, hotel, and student housing follow in 2027.
Inter Miami’s new home is 34 miles away, with Hard Rock Stadium another 16 miles to the north.
The Herons may not be too worried about losing fans to the smaller venue as World Cup champion Lionel Messi is a huge draw.
He has agreed an extension that takes him through 2028, which he signed while sitting at a desk in the middle of the stadium construction site.

“Since I arrived in Miami, I’ve been very happy, so I’m truly glad to keep going here.
“We’re all really excited about the moment when we can finally play at Miami Freedom Park.
“We can’t wait for it to be finished — to experience it from the inside, in our new home, and for the fans to enjoy it as well.
“It’s going to be something very special to play at home in such a spectacular stadium.”
