Wrexham hero Paul Mullin set to join promotion-chasing EFL side on loan after Wigan exit
Paul Mullin is closing in a switch to Bradford City on loan from Wrexham, talkSPORT understands.
The 31-year-old striker returned to the Racecourse Ground earlier this month after his loan spell at Wigan was cut short.

He featured in 26 games in all competitions for the Latics – finding the back of the net on five occasions.
But the League Outfit activated a clause in the loan contract to send the Wrexham hero back to Wales.
And with the centre-forward not in Phil Parkinson’s plans, the decision has been made to offload the player on another temporary deal.
Mullin is now set to head back to League One to help promotion-chasing Bradford in the second half of the season.
talkSPORT understands that no deal has yet been agreed between Wrexham and the Bantams.
However, it is believed that the transfer will be finalised before the window slams shut on Monday.
Bradford currently sit in fifth spot in the table and are in the running to secure back-to-back promotions.
But they sit nine points off the automatic promotion spots following consecutive defeats to Cardiff, Huddersfield and Lincoln.
On the Paul
Mullin hasn’t featured for Wrexham’s first-team since his return as due to FIFA rules, he wouldn’t have been permitted to play for a third club this term.
Though he has been keeping active, with the striker recently featuring for their academy earlier this week in the 1-1 draw with Bolton.

Mullin has been on Wrexham’s books since joining in 2021 after turning down a new deal from Cambridge.
Proving to be an instant hit with the fans, Mullin banged in 32 goals in his opening season.
He bettered that tally the following campaign, scoring 47 times in all competitions to help Wrexham win the National League title.
And he then played a role in the two following promotion seasons – finding the back of the net 26 and five times respectively.
Mullin fell out of favour during the second half of last season, with the player not featuring for the club since February 26, 2025.
But it didn’t prove to be a happy night for the player in the EFL Trophy semi-final clash against Peterborough, as he had a penalty saved in the shootout defeat.

In total, Mullin has fired in 110 goals from 172 appearances and is seventh in the club’s all-time scoring charts.
Loved by co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, he even made a cameo appearance in a Deadpool movie, of which the former plays the titular character.
