Wolves come into this in terrible form having only picked up three points so far this season, picking up their third against Man United on Tuesday.

They have also not fared well against West Ham in recent years winning just three of their last ten against the Hammers, losing seven.

This looks destined to end in a win rather than a draw as both teams have nothing to lose going for all three points and nothing to gain getting a draw.

Relegation battle

These two sides have just 17 points between them after 19 games played which would still see them in the relegation zone.

West Ham are just four points off of Nottingham Forest though so there’s still hope in London they can get themselves out of danger.

And ultimately this will be their best chance at a win to help their case, especially as they need to overtake a side who are competing in Europe this year.

West Ham have drawn three and lost three in their last six conceding as many as 38, just two less than Wolves.

But in terms of goals scored Wolves have only netted 11 which is where their issues are further worsened and exaggerated.

There could be a few goals in this one, which would be a welcome change after New Year’s Day’s fixtures ending with just two goals from four matches.

West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen has scored more Premier League goals against Wolves than he has against any other opponent (6).

The English attacker has netted six goals for the Hammers this season and that’s good going for a team in the relegation scrap as sometimes the goals just do not flow when the games just don’t go your way.
