Wolves v Man Utd prediction

United go into the fixture as strong favourites, hoping to bounce back after being held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

Ruben Amorim’s men approach the game having won just once in their last five outings. However, they have also been beaten only once in their previous eight, with three of their most recent five matches ending in draws.

The Red Devils travel to the West Midlands unbeaten in four consecutive away games, and results over the weekend mean the 20-time champions sit 12th in the league ahead of kick-off.

A point for Amorim’s side would lift United into eighth place, while a win at Wolverhampton would move them into the top six – just a single point off the Champions League positions.

Wolves, meanwhile, come into the clash in dreadful form, having suffered eight straight defeats in all competitions and failing to score in each of their last five matches.

Rob Edwards’ side sit firmly at the bottom of the Premier League with only two points from 14 games, eight adrift of Burnley in 19th and 13 away from safety.

Edwards, appointed last month to replace Vítor Pereira, has overseen the most recent three losses. Despite the continued lack of goals, performances have shown signs of improvement, with their last two defeats coming by just a single goal.

Wolves did complete a league double over United last season – including a 2-0 home win – which may offer a glimmer of belief. However, the Red Devils have come out on top in four of their last five visits to Molineux.

Tonight’s hosts have been dismal this season and are on track for a record low points total, while Manchester United, with just one defeat in their last eight and unbeaten in four on the road, should be confident of returning home with all three points, I’m predicting a 2-0 away win.

Wolves v Man Utd betting tips

Wolves’ woes continue

Wolves head into tonight’s game with just two points from their 14 Premier League games this season and already have a 12-point gap to make up to climb out of the relegation zone, having not scored in any of their last five matches.

Manchester United have lost just one of their last eight matches and are unbeaten in their last four games away from home, winning on four of their last five trips to Molineux.

Mbeumo back in the goals

Bryan Mbeumo has scored at least twice as many goals as any other player on either team across all competitions this season, the Manchester United winger having bagged on six occasions for his new club in the current campaign.

The Cameroon international has a strong recent record against Wolves, having bagged home and away against the West Midlands side in the Premier League last season while playing for Brentford.

Another Andre card

Wolves midfielder Andre has received more yellow cards than any other player eligible for tonight’s game on either team, the Brazilian picking up his fifth of the campaign in their defeat at Aston Villa just over a week ago.
