[WATCH]: 'I should have a web series' - Virender Sehwag makes witty remark on Sahibzada Farhan’s documentary
Former India opener Virender Sehwag has once again grabbed headlines with his wit as he took a cheeky dig at Pakistan batter Sahibzada Farhan over the latter’s much-talked-about documentary.
In a viral clip shared by Fever FM, Sehwag reacted to Farhan starring in a documentary after hitting three sixes off Jasprit Bumrah during the Asia Cup. His tongue-in-cheek remark quickly grabbed attention, with fans praising the former opener’s sarcasm.
"According to him, he smashed three sixes, and that was enough for a full documentary. I joked that by that logic, I should have a whole web series for scoring 300, 254, and 100 runs. You didn’t dominate every bowler, but you made a documentary on just three sixes. I guess that’s an art, a special kind of talent — but maybe don’t show off that talent too much," he said.

Farhan had featured in a documentary titled Hero in the Making, produced after the Asia Cup, where he highlighted his performance against Bumrah. Notably, Bumrah had gone a long time in T20Is without being hit for a six, and Farhan breaking that streak became a viral moment in Pakistan. The right-hander had scored 217 runs in the tournament and looked confident against India’s pace spearhead, even though Pakistan ended up losing all three matches against their arch-rivals, including the final.
However, in the recent ICC Men’s T20 World Cup against India, Farhan fell for a duck, managing just four balls before being dismissed. Following that dismissal, Farhan faced heavy backlash on social media. Many fans revisited his documentary and accused him of overhyping a brief moment rather than focusing on consistent performances. The batter bounced back with a strong performance later in the tournament, scoring a century against Namibia in a must-win game.
