Here comes the money

Nine fighters raked in a collective $525,000 in bonuses.

Both Volkanovski and Lopes earned $100,000 each for their Fight of the Night showing.

And Mauricio Ruffy and Quallan Salkilld were rewarded with a $100,000 Performance of the Night bonus.

Meanwhile, Benoit Saint Denis, Billy Elekana, Cam Rowston and Jonathan Micallef all collected $25k for finishes.

But one of the biggest cash generators on the night was the event itself at Qudos Bank Arena.

UFC 325 was attended by more than 18,000 fans and generated a $10million gate, making it the highest-grossing indoor arena event in the country’s history.

“There were records broken for gates, so hopefully it was as big as we wanted it to be,” Volkanovski said on his YouTube channel, reflecting on his win.

“It felt like it was a big fight, so that’s cool — massive event.

“The love that I’ve been getting… the last couple of years have been incredible.”

UFC president Dana White added: “As usual, another incredible event in Australia.

“Indoor arena record for highest gate in Australian history, sold out, fans are incredible, and the fighters delivered. We love coming here.”

The event surpassed the previous record set by UFC 312 in February 2025, during which Dricus du Plessis defended the middleweight title against Sean Strickland.

For comparison, UFC 324 — the promotion’s first show of the year — brought in a live gate of $11m, while UFC 323 generated just shy of $5m.

$100,000 bonuses were brought in as part of the UFC’s $7.7billion broadcast deal with Paramount+, which continues with a Fight Night event in Las Vegas this weekend.

The next numbered card sees Max Holloway defend his BMF title against Charles Oliveira in a rematch.

UFC will now visit the likes of London, Seattle and Macao.
