Tottenham Hotspur star gives honest opinion on key difference between Thomas Frank and Ange Postecoglou
Thomas Frank and Ange Postecoglou’s personalities are chalk and cheese – the current Tottenham Hotspur boss is far more relaxed.
That’s the view of left-back Destiny Udogie, who won the Europa League under Postecoglou’s tutelage last season.

But while Spurs ended their 17-year wait for silverware, they endured their worst Premier League season in history.
Spurs finished in their lowest ever Premier League position [17th], while picking up their fewest points [38] and most defeats [22].
It ultimately led to the dismissal of Postecoglou in north London, with the club wasting no time in replacing him with Frank.
After 15 games this season, Spurs are just 16 points shy of equalling their tally set last term, though they currently languish in 11th spot.
For Udogie, it is the first campaign that he is competing in the Champions League following his side’s success in Europe’s second-tier competition.
And it is also the first time that former Brentford manager Frank has managed in the group stage of a European competition.
Spurs are on course to at least secure a knockout play-off spot, with the club sitting in 16th spot ahead of Tuesday night’s clash against Slavia Prague, live on talkSPORT 2.
Udogie is sidelined until January with a hamstring injury but had started Spurs’ previous three league matches before their win at Brentford last weekend.
To be Frank
Speaking to talkSPORT at the brand new PUMA Flagship store in London, Udogie was asked about whether it was a big change to go from Postecoglou to Frank.
To which he said: “Yeah, I think every manager is different.

“So obviously Ange, he has his own style of playing football and now Thomas has his own style.
“So, I think I think they’re just different managers and you just have to adapt and that’s what we’re trying to do.”
Pressed on whether they are different personality-wise, Uodgie remarked: “Yeah, yeah, definitely. Yeah, yeah, they are. They are, yeah.”
Commenting on whether Frank is more relaxed, Udogie stated: “Yeah, I think he knows how to manage the group.
“And I think he’s trying to keep us more chill, [and handling] not too much pressure, and that’s good.”
Udogie was then pressed about his role in the Spurs team, having been utilised as a flying full-back under Postecoglou.

Insisting he is still looking to get forward, he was quick to stress that his main priority is doing his bit defensively.
Udogie said: “I think my my role is like obviously as a defender, you want to defend, you have to win your duels.
“And going forward, try to get some assist and maybe some goals.
“So, that’s what I’m trying to do and hopefully I can do my best.”
