Top 90 fantasy football PPR RBs for Week 14

Week 14 is here and if you have Christian McCaffrey, hopefully you’ve already wrapped up a playoff spot, because he is taking a long nap this weekend as the 49ers are on a bye. The other three teams on bye all have a shared backfield, which takes out a bunch of flex starters at the position, but maybe you have a deep enough bench to compensate for the non-CMC backs.

RB streamer of the week

Jordan Mason, Vikings vs Commanders

At this point the extent of Aaron Jones’ shoulder injury is unknown, but there is a real chance he misses this week against the Commanders. If so, Mason would take over the lead back role in a good matchup, as the Commanders have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to running backs this season.

RB injuries

Aaron Jones Sr., Vikings

Jones suffered a shoulder injury against the Seahawks last week and wasn’t able to return. It sounds like the injury isn’t long term, so he might have a chance to play this week against the Commanders. If he can’t, Jordan Mason would get the lead back work, but likely lose passing down work to Zavier Scott.

Trey Benson, Cardinals

Benson was injured in Week 4 and underwent arthroscopic surgery on his meniscus. He was able to get in limited practices ahead of Week 12 and didn’t play. Last week he was shut down after getting limited practice in on Wednesday, so it’s tough to know where he is at this point. He may have had a setback, but we haven’t heard any news of late.

Omarion Hampton, Chargers

Hampton remains out and was in a no-contact jersey last week. We’ll need some positive news this week for him to have a chance to play against the Eagles on Monday night.

Alvin Kamara, Saints

Kamara suffered an MCL sprain in Week 12 and missed Week 13. Devin Neal took over as lead back and had 17 touches against the Dolphins, but didn’t do much with those touches. We’ll see if Kamara returns to practice this week before contemplating his return.
