Tom Brady called out for Seahawks conflict of interest on Fox as Raiders owner flaunts $650k watch
A little bit of extra scouting on the job never hurt, right?
Tom Brady has been called out by NFL fans for a conflict of interest.

In the broadcasting booth as part of his $375 million color commentating role with FOX Sports for the NFC Championship Game between the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams, Brady sparked attention for his particular interest in Seattle offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.
Throughout the enthralling contest which saw Sam Darnold lead the Seahawks to a 31-27 win and punch their ticket to Super Bowl LX where they will face Drake Maye and the New England Patriots, Brady was full of praise for Kubiak.
“I love the opening script by Kubiak,” Brady said, speaking about Seattle’s opening drive of the contest which resulted in a touchdown. “There was such great tempo with their offense.”
“Such a great play call by Klint Kubiak as well,” Brady called later in the quarter. “He understands that now, for the first time, the Rams’ D-line is like, let’s be super aggressive and try to make a big stop.
“Next thing you know, they take advantage of the overaggressiveness and the rush, and they lose coming out of the backfield.”
Ordinarily, you would think that the all-time great NFL quarterback was just loving what he was seeing out on the field by an OC that led a top-three offense in terms of points scored in 2025.
But, Brady isn’t just a color commentator.
He’s also a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders who just so happen to be on the hunt for a new head coach following their woeful 3-14 record on the 2025 campaign under Pete Carroll.
There’s also the added extras that Kubiak has been named as a “prime candidate” for the Vegas opening following “a strong first interview,” per ESPN senior reporter Jeremy Fowler.
For fans watching the game, it became clear in their minds that Brady was not just a fan of Kubiak, but he was also using his role to further analyze a potential head coaching candidate for his team.

“Sure sounds from the broadcast like Klint Kubiak is Brady’s guy for the Raiders,” one fan posted to X (formerly Twitter).
“Tom Brady name drops Klint Kubiak just seven minutes in. And another Kubiak name drop, seconds later. Raiders HC spoiler?” a second wrote.
“Think Tom Brady might announce Klint Kubiak as the next Head Coach of the Raiders mid-broadcast,” a third commented.
“Brady might have a contract for Kubiak ready before he leaves the stadium,” a fourth joked.
Even when the Rams were on offense, Brady couldn’t help but compare to what he had seen from Kubiak’s offensive scheme in the contest, fueling further criticism from fans.
“Good design. You saw it with Klint Kubiak putting JSN in the backfield,” Brady said when the Rams were on offense.

Late in the fourth quarter as the Seahawks were moments away from clinching the George Halas Trophy, Brady couldn’t help but get one last ounce of praise in for the OC.
“Kubiak designed some great plays, getting his guys open. And then Darnold just executing everything,” he said.
Brady flaunts $653k Patek Philippe Aquanaut watch
Throughout the broadcast, Brady was also spotted sporting some huge ice on his wrist, posting an image of his Patek Philippe Aquanaut on social media, alongside the caption “Big game, Big watch
.”
One fan quickly found the model online and saw that it retailed for the small price of $653,000.
That’s some serious flex.
However, that’s only a small price to pay for a man like Brady with $332 million in playing career earnings, and who earns far more than that in his post-playing career.
With Fox not holding the rights for Super Bowl LX, Brady’s second season in the booth is over, and it has been a vastly improved campaign from that of his first.
Roll on Year 3.
