Tiger Woods has media room in stitches with outrageous golf comeback plan
Tiger Woods joked about playing 25 events across the PGA Tour and Champions Tour in 2026.
The legendary 15-time major winner has dealt with an injury-hit year as he suffered a ruptured Achilles one month before The Masters.

Woods then announced in October that he underwent surgery for a collapsed disc in his spine, casting more doubt on his future in the game.
However, many have speculated he could be heading back to the golf course soon with an appearance on the upcoming PGA Tour Champions.
The tour is opened to players who are aged 50 and over, and Woods will qualify as he hits the half-century mark on December 30.
It is also notable that members are allowed to use a golf cart – which would help Woods manage the affects of a near-fatal car crash in 2021 on his right leg.
Speaking ahead of his Hero World Challenge event this week, he was asked about potentially making his PGA Tour Champions debut.
“I’m probably gonna play 25 events on both tours,” he joked, having played just eight official events in the last four years.
“I think that should cover most of the year, right?”
It left the assembled media in stiches, however, Woods then called for patience as he continues to recover from his latest fitness setback.
“I’m just looking forward to… Let me get back to playing, let me do that and I’ll kind of figure out what the schedule’s going to be.
“I’m ways away from that part of it, that type of decision, that type of commitment level.

“Unfortunately, I’ve been through this rehab process before, it’s step by step.
“Once I get a feel for practising, exploding, playing, the recovery process, then I can assess where I’m going to play and how much I’ll play.”
What else did Woods say on his return to the press room?
Speaking further on his recovery from surgery, Woods said: “Well, it’s not as fast as I’d like it to be.
“It was a good thing to do, something I needed to have happen and it just takes time and dedication to the rehab process.”
Woods then added: “I just got cleared last week to chip and putt so that’s good.
“I started to chip and putt, I just started to lift in the gym, I just started this process. A disc replacement takes time.

“It’s longer, it’s not as long as a fusion, thank God, but it’s going to take time… I’d like to come back to just playing golf again.
“I haven’t played golf in a long time. It’s been a tough year. I’ve had a lot of things happen on and off the golf course that’s been tough.
“And so my passion to just play, I haven’t done that in a long time. Just play.
“So I’ve had to sit on the side lines for a number of months, and most of this year and quite frankly end of last year.”
