  1.25: Norn Iron 9/4 (1pt)
  2.25: Confinetic 8/1 each-way (0.5pt)
  2.55: Jack Sprat 15/2 each-way (0.5pt)

Norn Iron

It’s a little concerning to me in looking at the favourite Chuggy, that a 9/4 shot is making his first start over fences.

This could be because he was prominent over hurdles especially winning last time out but that was his win to shed his maiden tag.

Having gone up in the weights with a few placed efforts so is open to improvement even further.

Chuggy has now won 2/2 of his chase starts but I’m still drawn to Norn Iron who looks to be a solid choice, potentially still dangerously weighted.

Confinetic

Seems to be a great each-way price for his 2-3 hurdles record and can’t be ruled out just for being off for 304 days.

Trainer and jockey are in decent form too which just helps his case further.

Beat Telhimlisten by just under a length at Plumpton last time out on soft and may prefer a route on the softer ground in this ruled good to soft.

Jack Sprat

Close second on return this season before running poorly at Exeter.

He has done that before, at Wincanton and seemed to need the time off after a few runs last season.

But no real excuses last time but now returns to fences where he was never far away last season.

Finishing 5th, 2nd and 4th in three straight chase starts last season and is interesting back to this discipline with confirmed stamina over these kind of trips.
