Friday football tips

Bet of the Day – Norwich to win @ 20/23

After a poor start to the season, Norwich have really turned things around in the second half and are third in a form table of the last 10 games and first in a table covering the last 15 games.

Home form has played a massive part of this run, as they have won seven of their last eight games at Carrow Road, with the only blip coming against Birmingham.

At 20/23 they look like the standout bet of the day against struggling Portsmouth, who have lost five of their last six and find themselves just one point above the drop zone.

City have already registered a win against Pompey this season with a 2-1 away win earlier in the season and The Canaries will seek to do the double against them with a home win.

It’s very hard to see them slipping up at home and look like a great bet for the day.

Bet Builder – Rayo Vallecano vs Elche – Both teams to score, Jorge De Frutos 1+ shots on target and Over 7.5 corners. @ 41/20

Vallecano host Elche this Friday night and it looks like an ideal game for a bet builder.

Vallecano have seen three of their last five games end with both teams scoring, while Elche have seen all of their last five do the same, so this is sure to be a game with several goals and both teams scoring makes a good first leg.

Jorge De Frutos has been the standout attacker for Vallecano, netting 10 goals already this season. He’s likely to get several chances and should be able to direct one of them on target..

There were nine corners when they met earlier in the season and several for both sides in a competitive end-to-end encounter are expected, so over 7.5 looks sensible.

Accumulator – Norwich to beat Portsmouth, Bradford to beat Northampton, Both teams to score in MK Dons vs Barrow and Over 2.5 goals in Salford vs Notts County – 222/25

Norwich are the banker of the week and kick off our Good Friday acca with them looking great value to beat Portsmouth.

Despite the difference in league positions MK Dons against Barrow should be a competitive match that sees both teams score.

Second versus 23rd may not seem competitive on paper, but the Dons have started to wobble, losing their last two matches, while Barrow are coming in off a surprising 2-1 win against League Two leaders Bromley.

MK are the top scorers in the league and will inevitably find the net, but the Cumbrians arrive with belief that they can give them a game and should find themselves getting a goal.

Bradford face a weak Northampton side who are on a dreadful run of losing eight of their last nine. The Bantams haven’t been in great form themselves, but sit fourth and should be winning this.

Salford host Notts County in what is a battle between sixth and thrid. They both arrive in good form and this should be one of the games to watch this Good Friday.

City won 2-1 in the reverse fixture and this should be a similar type of game with plenty of goals, so add over 2.5 goals in this fixture to round out the acca.
