Thursday football betting tips
Bet of the day
AC Milan to beat Genoa and both teams to score @ 14/5
AC Milan are doing everything to stay in touch with rivals Inter at the top of the Serie A table and the Rossoneri head into this visit of Genoa looking for a third win in a row.
Massimiliano Allegri’s side are on a nine-game unbeaten run at the San Siro, winning seven and drawing two, and they have the quality to pick up another crucial three points.
However, visitors Genoa, who are embroiled in a relegation scrap, should be able to get on the scoresheet, something they have managed to do in all eight away league fixtures.
Bet builder
Arsenal vs Liverpool – Gabriel Magalhaes anytime goalscorer, Over 7.5 corners & both teams to be carded @ 6/1
Premier League table-toppers Arsenal welcome Liverpool to the Emirates for a crucial clash and this could turn out to be an entertaining affair between these two.
The Reds have been dismal at defending set-pieces, conceding 13 times, and that poor record will be music to the ears of Gunners defender Gabriel.
Standing at 6ft 3in, the Brazil international has scored in his last two games, against Aston Villa and Bournemouth, and he will fancy his chances of notching on home turf.
There should be a fair few corners in this contest with Arsenal’s matches in all competitions averaging 8.62 and Liverpool’s 9.83, so these two can combine for at least eight corners.
Round off this bet builder with both teams to be carded. They picked up two each in August’s meeting at Anfield and the tackles are expected to be flying in during this high-octane affair.
Acca
Arsenal to beat Liverpool, Draw between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid & Cagliari to beat Cremonese @ 16/1
Arsenal are on a five-game winning streak in the league and they haven’t lost at the Emirates this season.
The Gunners should have too much quality for Liverpool, who have drawn their last two fixtures against Leeds and Fulham and lost four of their last eight away assignments in the top flight.
Atletico Madrid host Real Madrid in the Spanish Supercopa semi-finals and these two may find themselves level after normal time when they meet at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.
Four of the last six meetings between these fierce rivals has ended in a draw after 90 minutes and there could be little to separate the pair again.
Cagliari can move level on points with Cremonese by grabbing all three points when they collide at Stadio Giovanni Zini.
La Cremo are without a win in four matches and they may struggle to get the better of Cagliari, who beat Torino 2-1 in their last away game and ran AC Milan close in a 1-0 defeat on Friday.
