talkSPORT tips – Best football bets and expert advice for Sunday 21 December

There is just one Premier League game on Sunday as in-form Aston Villa host a Manchester United side who have their eyes on the top four, as well as a host of action from across Europe.

We’ve looked over the fixtures and picked out three bets ahead of the action.

Tuesday’s football betting tips

Bet of the day

Aston Villa to beat Manchester United @ 21/20

It seems incredible to think that Unai Emery found himself under a bit of pressure in the Aston Villa hot seat earlier this season as that poor start is now well and truly behind them.

The Villans are the form team in the Premier League right now with 27 points from the last available 30, and they are on a nine-game winning streak across all competitions.

Visitors Man Utd should provide a test and they have forced themselves into the top four battle with a run of just one defeat in their last 10 games.

However, the Old Trafford side look set to come unstuck against this flying Villans outfit as United’s road form remains a concern.

The Red Devils have just three victories in nine attempts on their travels this season, while Villa have picked up nine wins on the spin at home and they saw off league leaders Arsenal 2-1 in their last Villa Park assignment.

They look more than capable of making it 10 in a row against United.

Bet Builder of the day

Aberdeen to beat Celtic, both teams to score, Marko Lazetic to score anytime @ 17/1

No team should be 7/1 to beat Celtic right now and as such Aberdeen look a risk worth taking ahead of their trip to Parkhead on Sunday as one of three legs on this bet builder.

Celtic have lost all four games since Wilfried Nancy took charge and the Frenchman is already on borrowed time, while the Dons have won their last four away games in the league and could pile more pressure on the under-fire boss.

The Bhoys have only failed to score in one of Nancy’s four games so far and they’ve scored in seven consecutive domestic home games, so the visitors are unlikely to leave with a clean sheet even if they do claim three points.

Finally, an anytime effort from Aberdeen’s Marko Lazetic stands out as he’s been getting plenty of chances – with seven shots in total and two goals across his last four appearances.

Acca of the day

Villa to win, Fiorentina to win, Hearts to win, Sassuolo to win – @ 19/1

A Villa win over Man Utd is our Bet of the Day, so it has to be included in this fourfold home wins accumulator tip.

Fiorentina are the only winless side left in Serie A, but they can finally end that run against Udinese this weekend. There have been signs of life at La Viola with points secured against Juventus and Bologna at home recently.

Those levels of performances may be enough for all three points against Udinese, who have lost three of their last four games.

Sassuolo are among the European challengers in Serie A and they can make home advantage count against poor travellers Torino, who are winless in their last five away games.

The earliest kick-off on this acca takes place in Scotland and Premiership pacesetters Hearts can build on their incredible home record by beating Rangers.

The Jambos are unbeaten at Tynecastle this season and they can overcome an inconsistent Gers side who have just two wins in their last six games across all competitions.
