talkSPORT tips – Best darts tips and expert advice on Sunday’s World Darts Championship

Luke Littler returns to the Ally Pally stage on Sunday, the star turn on Day 11 of the PDC World Darts Championship.

The reigning champion tops the bill in the evening session when he takes on Welsh qualifier David Davies in round two.

Ryan Joyce and Krzysztof Ratajski begin the afternoon session at 12.30pm with the evening session, featuring Gerwyn Price as well as The Nuke, getting going from 7pm.

Darts World Championship Sunday tips

Tip 1 – Standout Bet of the Day

Joe Cullen to beat Mensur Suljovic @ 8/13

Joe Cullen, slightly perplexed that people were in any way surprised that he beat Bradley Brooks in round one, should have no one scratching their heads if he sees off Mensur Suljovic in his second assignment.

Cullen played really well against Brooks, averaging a tick under 100 in a 3-0 whitewash and making a mockery of a string of stage failures throughout the year.

Rockstar insisted he was playing well and certainly anything like that sort of level should be far too good for Suljovic.

The Austrian former World Cup finalist’s best days are behind him now and while he was able to battle past David Cameron in round one, Cullen is a step up in class.

Tip 2 – Possible Surprise

Stefan Bellmont to beat Damon Heta @ 13/5

Stefan Bellmont may just have ended a darting era on Wednesday night when he drubbed Raymond van Barneveld 3-0.

Bellmont’s performance flew in the face of his modest form figures for the year and suggested that maybe the big stage is to his liking.

Having found his form against Barney, why not back him at a big price to repeat the feat against Damon Heta, a good player, but one with a mishap in him in pretty much in every tournament he plays.

Tip 3 – Stats Tip to follow

Ryan Joyce Most 180s vs Krzysztof Ratajski @ 6/5

Ryan Joyce and Krzysztof Ratajski were impressive winners on Thursday, producing consummate whitewashes over Owen Bates and Alexis Toylo respectively.

Their averages weren’t dissimilar and they should lay on a tight affair in the day’s opener. There really doesn’t look to be much between them.

Where there might be an edge is in the 180s with Joyce taken to hit more than the Pole.

Neither man is prolific, but Joyce hits a maximum every 5.5 legs on tour, Ratajski one every 6.0 legs, just enough of a difference to suggest Relentless is worth a nibble.

Tip 4 – Daily Treble

Luke Woodhouse to beat Max Hopp, Luke Littler 3-0 vs David Davies, Damon Heta vs Stefan Bellmont Over 3.5 Sets @ 9/5

It was good to see Max Hopp make a winning return at the Palace five years after his last visit, but he will struggle to land too many blows against the ever-improving Luke Woodhouse.

Luke Littler has had his settler and can now turn up the gas, which should ensure a straightforward 3-0 romp against qualifier David Davies.

Heta was taken to four sets by Steve Lennon in round one – indeed, he has not been involved in a whitewash, winning or losing, in any of his last six matches at Ally Pally.

His showdown with Bellmont will surely go to four sets or more.
