Real Madrid star taken away in ambulance after being stretchered off in neck brace following collision with teammate
Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio was stretchered off in a neck brace after a nasty collision with Eduardo Camavinga.
The Spanish centre-back jumped up for a header but then clashed into his teammate during their Champions League play-off tie.

Camavinga took a hit to the head but appeared to be okay after getting some treatment as he stayed on the field.
However, for Asencio, he looked to be in a much worse condition, dropping to the ground and clutching his chest.
He landed awkwardly after the collision and seemed to be coughing and breathing heavily in a lot of pain.
Asencio then received treatment from medical staff and the situation got more and more concerning as time passed.
The 23-year-old had medics holding his neck and making sure it was safe, as he lay incredibly still on the pitch.
He would then have a neck brace put on by staff, signifying the major concern surrounding the injury.
And eventually, a stretcher was brought out to carry him away.
In the 77th minute, following a break of over five minutes, he was then taken away down the tunnel for further treatment.
Asencio’s Real Madrid teammates and Benfica players looked concerned as he exited the field ahead of the final stages.
Videos later emerged on social media of the Real academy graduate being taken away from the Bernabeu in an ambulance.

Injury update
Real Madrid boss Alvaro Arbeloa was asked about Asencio’s injury after the game against Benfica had finished.
And the Spaniard gave an update, saying: “It seems like something with the neck, but it doesn’t seem serious.
“Let’s hope it’s just a scare.”
Real heading through
Asencio’s injury will have been a major worry for manager Arbeloa, on what should have been a fully positive night.
Real Madrid booked their place in the last 16 of the Champions League thanks to a 2-1 win at the Bernabeu on Wednesday.
They beat Benfica 3-1 on aggregate after goals from Aurelien Tchouameni and Vinicius Junior in the second leg.

Vini Jr. danced to celebrate, a week on from receiving alleged racial abuse from Gianluca Prestianni in the first meeting.
It is now the 29th successive season that Real have reached the last 16 of the Champions League.
The Spanish giants will face either Sporting Lisbon or Manchester City in the next round of the knockout stages.
The Champions League last 16 draw takes place on Friday at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.
talkSPORT and talkSPORT.com will be right across the draw as it happens later this week.
