Rangers player Dujon Sterling arrested following car crash hours after Old Firm victory as police give statement
Rangers defender Dujon Sterling has been charged with alleged driving offences following a car crash just hours after his side’s Old Firm victory.
The 26-year-old starred for Danny Rohl’s side in their 3-1 win over Celtic on Saturday at Celtic Park, playing all 90 minutes of the derby.

But things took a turn in the aftermath of the match, as police were called to the scene of a one-vehicle smash in Glasgow in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Sterling, who was driving the vehicle, was arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences.
It is believed that the Englishman was not injured in the accident, and he will appear in court in due course.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told talkSPORT: “Around 1:25am on Sunday, 4 January, 2026, police received a report of a one-vehicle crash on West Graham Street, Glasgow.
“There were no injuries reported. The driver, a 26-year-old man, was arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences.
“He’s expected to appear at court at a later date.”
News of Sterling’s arrest comes after the full-back had aimed a cheeky swipe at Celtic boss Wilfried Nancy after the Old Firm.
Taking to social media, Sterling posted a picture of a Venn diagram to his Instagram story shortly after full-time.
The image depicted two circles of ‘things that matter’ and ‘things you can control’, and an arrow between them with the caption ‘what you should focus on’.
This was the exact same image Nancy had made his profile picture on X last month in response to criticism.
