Players Championship betting tips: 25/1 top selection for TPC Sawgrass
The PGA Tour’s Florida swing continues this week with the Players Championship, held at the iconic TPC Sawgrass.
Many argue that this tournament should be the fifth major, but that discussion is for another day. It does bring together the best field in golf, however, with 46 of the top 50 in the world rankings teeing it up this week.
This will be the 52nd staging of the Players Championship and Jack Nicklaus leads the way with three victories. Scottie Scheffler or Rory McIlroy could match that record this week, as the duo have two wins apiece at the tour’s flagship event.
As such, the pair lead the betting market at odds of 7/2 and 11/1 respectively, followed by Xander Schauffele and Tommy Fleetwood at 22/1.

Players Championship betting tips
- Tommy Fleetwood to win and each-way @ 25/1
- Si Woo Kim to win and each-way @ 35/1
- Corey Conners Top-20 finish @ 16/5
Tommy Fleetwood to win his second PGA Tour title
Fleetwood, of course, ended his drought for a PGA Tour title last year, claiming the Tour Championship.
He finished second and third in the final two events of the DPWT season and has begun 2026 solidly in America.
A T4 finish at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am was followed by a T7 result at the Genesis Invitational a week later.
Fleetwood’s record at the Players is decent, missing only one cut from nine appearances. He has finished in the top ten twice, although those came back in 2018 and 2019.
The Englishman ranks first on tour for Strokes Gained: Around the Green and 15th for Strokes Gained: Tee to Green this season.
Expect a big week for the 35-year-old.
Si Woo Kim can contend at TPC Sawgrass
Si Woo Kim already has a place in the history books at the Players Championship. In 2017, aged just 21, he secured the title by three strokes over the field.
Since then, he hasn’t missed a cut here, recording a further two top-ten finishes at TPC Sawgrass.
The South Korean golfer has enjoyed a respectable start to 2026. Across his first four events, his worst finish was T11, which came at the Sony Open.
While recent results haven’t quite matched those displays, it is evident that Kim is comfortable at the course where he made history nine years ago.
Not only that, but the 30-year-old ranks 12th for Strokes Gained: Total and 2nd for Strokes Gained: Approach to Green on the PGA Tour this season.
If he can string four solid rounds together, there is no doubt he will contend here once again.
Corey Conners to continue trending in the right direction
Corey Conners started the year off with a T24 finish at the Sony Open, but he hasn’t cracked the top-30 of an event since.
The Canadian came close at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, but he went 72-72 over the weekend to drop to 33rd.
He is clearly comfortable performing at TPC Sawgrass, missing just one cut at the event, while recording T6 and T13 results in 2025 and 2024 respectively.
He led the field for Strokes Gained: Approach to Green in his first outing of the season at the Sony Open and if he can bring that sort of ball striking performance to the Players, another top-20 finish is well within reach.
