Pat McAfee makes major career move with new venture and decision to become ‘next Sylvester Stallone’
It appears that Pat McAfee is about to add another profession to his resume.
As if dominating YouTube, sports television and WWE weren’t enough, the retired NFL punter is set to embark on a huge career shift.

A new report indicates that McAfee has hired Hollywood super agent Ari Emanuel to represent him.
If there is anyone who could guide McAfee into the Hollywood roles of his dreams, Emanuel would certainly be at the top of the list.
The founder of Endeavor, one of the top talent agencies in Hollywood, has recently moved into sports with the TKO group.
It operates UFC and WWE, and Emanuel has some big-name clients, including Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
With the help of McAfee and his team, Emanuel has launched a podcast titled Rushmore, which debates the greatest sports figures.
McAfee to star in Mosquito Bowl film releasing in 2026
McAfee is also set to have a four-episode arc on Tulsa King, the latest Paramount+ show.
But his biggest Hollywood appearance to date will be starring as a Drill Instructor in the film The Mosquito Bowl.
It follows the football game played between two regiments of Marines at Guadalcanal just after the Pearl Harbour attack.
Many of the 6th Marine Division had been named to all-conference or all-American teams. The game ended in a scoreless tie.
The movie began filming in Queensland, Australia and has a 2026 release window.

The film appearance is just the start of Emanuel’s goal, which, according to Bloomberg, is to “Turn Pat McAfee into the next Sylvester Stallone.”
The 38-year-old has been non-stop since stepping away from the NFL, but the transition to become a TV and movie star might be his most impressive feat yet.
The former Indianapolis Colt retired from the NFL in 2017 and quickly reinvented himself as a major sport media personality.
He built The Pat McAfee Show into a powerhouse, eventually partnering with ESPN while expanding into WWE as both a performer and commentator.
Since leaving football, he’s become one of the most influential and recognizable voices in modern sports entertainment.
However, McAfee has been left frustrated with planned broadcasting changes for Super Bowl 2027.

He is also reportedly annoyed that ESPN is removing one of the best segments from their College GameDay program, and evidently now has his eyes set on a different career venture.
