Nottingham Forest vs Everton predictions

Forest are still in danger of slipping into the relegation zone.

They sit just five points ahead of West Ham who occupy the third from bottom spot and though they don’t look like catching any time soon, there’s always a chance forms can turn.

With that Forest need to be putting more distance between them and the drop.

Two wins in the last five have helped their case but with three results also ending in a loss it’s prevented them in more ways.

Now up against Everton, they look like they may struggle to get goals against a strong defensive set up.

Low scoring sides

Both these sides have been struggling for goals.

So much so Everton’s goals scored tally looks incredibly different to those around them, nine less than Spurs above them, and eight less than Brighton below them.

It’s the same amount of goals that Nottingham Forest have scored who’ve lost three more than Everton due to their poorer defensive record.

It could be a low scoring affair given that, as Everton have had a fair few clean sheets recently.

They faced Forest just earlier this month winning 3-0 which came after a solid 1-0 win over Bournemouth.

The Toffees only lost 1-0 to Arsenal before drawing 0-0 to Burnley and look set on keeping another clean sheet if that form is anything to go by.

Everton double over Forest

Everton could do the double over Forest in the space of just 24 days.

Their big win earlier this month showed how they were far too good for Forest, despite having less of the ball.

Forest showed they struggled to get on target again and will surely face the same fate against a side able to get so many clean sheets despite being mid table.

One of the gamechangers to come from Everton has been Jack Grealish a fair few times at the start of the season, but less so since the first three games.

Grealish may not start with a slight chance of an illness keeping him out of the starting XI but if he does he’s sure to get another chance to add to his tally of assists.

He too scored against Bournemouth in gameweek 14 earning just a few weeks ago and now looks set to help the attack against Forest.

His expected goal involvements was a 0.72 against Chelsea a hard fought game before missing the game against Burnley, so should be back with more to offer fresh.
