He will take on Russian behemoth Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a huge event.

The blockbuster bill will be broadcast live on streaming service Netflix, a first for British boxing.

Some of boxing’s biggest names including Conor Benn will also be in action in the ring.

But the broadcast will also feature some huge sporting names outside of the ring and on the microphone.

Former undisputed champion Lennox Lewis will feature as an analyst with British icon Carl Froch.

Boxing Hall of Famer and daughter of Muhammad Ali, Laila, will also provide expert opinion.

More squared circle royalty will call the action with David Haye and Andre Ward to join leading commentator Mauro Ranallo.

While the presenters will feature some familiar faces with Anna Wollhouse and Josh Denzel to join main anchor Elle Duncan.

Tyson Fury’s plans for 2026

Fury will be an overwhelming favourite to get past Makhmudov and progress on to bigger and better things once again.

The ‘Gypsy King’ had agreed to face Anthony Joshua, but the bout was delayed with the latter involved in a tragic car accident.

A showdown with Joshua could well be revisited in 2026, but it is unclear whether AJ could first pursue a warm-up bout of his own.

Fury has also indicated he’d be open to challenging for world honours again, with the victor of Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley’s title clash being eyed.

He said: “The perfect year would be to smash Makhmudov to pieces, then smash Anthony Joshua to pieces and then win the world title at the end of the year, whether it is off Usyk or if it is off the Dubois-Wardley winner.

“That would be a good year, then I would retire again. Take two more years out, come back at 40 and do it all again, and so on and so forth.

“When boxing dies a death again, [I will] come back, bring it all back, bring the biggest broadcasting network in the world. Let’s go, 2026, here we come. Big year.”
