Mohamed Salah breaks all-time Premier League record on Liverpool return

Mohamed Salah’s return to the Liverpool team saw him break an all-time Premier League record.

The Egyptian was named on the bench after clear-the-air talks with Arne Slot and was introduced much earlier than expected against Brighton.

An injury to Joe Gomez saw Slot turn to the forward, and he set up Hugo Ekitike‘s second to make it 2-0 to the Reds.

In the process, he became the leading player in Premier League history for goals and assists for one top-flight club.

Salah delivered a corner at the Kop End onto Ekitike’s head to spark wild celebrations.

And it was his 277th direct goal contribution in the Premier League for Liverpool.

He was level with Wayne Rooney, but the Reds legend now has the top spot.

And it was the perfect way for Salah to re-introduce himself to the Liverpool team after being dropped in midweek.
