Luke Littler reveals plan for modest first purchase from £1m World Championship winnings

Luke Littler has some very specific plans for his £1million winnings from the PDC World Darts Championship.

The 18-year-old became back-to-back champion at Alexandra Palace on Saturday night with a 7-1 thumping of Gian van Veen in the final.

After losing the first set, the Nuke won seven in a row, obliterating the Dutchman in what was meant to be a close final.

The result sees Littler end the year with over £2million in prize money and comfortably sitting at no.1 in the world.

It is hard to see how anyone dislodges him from that spot, and despite having the means to spend lavishly the first thing Littler is looking to invest in are some football cards.

Speaking about his plans, he said: “I’m into football cards at the minute so I might have to treat myself to a few boxes. Just a few.

“Panini cards, Topps cards, anything. It’s Angry Ginge’s fault really, he got me into Whatnot.

“You bid and they will open a box and then they say you get Cristiano Ronaldo, you get a Ronaldo card. I will treat myself to that.”

Littler did buy a £39,000 BMW ten months after winning at Ally Pally in 2025.

However, there are no plans to upgrade that car due to the insurance.

“I will have to get a year on the insurance before changing that one,”” Littler said.

What’s next?

After a sensational year, Littler will take a week’s break and head home to Warrington.

But he will be back on the oche soon in the World Series, with two trips to the Middle East booked in.

He will also go on holiday with his girlfriend Faith in January to celebrate his 19th birthday.

But then the Englishman will lock in.

He currently has £2.77m in prize money and wants to break that £3m barrier.

He said: “Obviously, it’s a lot of money. I’m the first player to break the £2million mark.

“Hopefully, I can try and get up to £3million.

“Obviously, the money’s there. I’ve said it before in the past, us as a family we’ve never had this sort of money.

“So, I’m not going to go and waste it. I’m not going to change. I’m not going to start buying stuff. I’ll just stay as I am.

“I don’t need to change. This is me as I am. Even when I’m at home, I’m the same person.

“I’m just a darts player at the end of the day. People call me a celebrity but I’m just a boy living his dream.”
