Littler has since added to his list of record-breaking achievements by becoming world number one.

He has returned to Alexandra Palace as the top seed for the 2025/26 edition of the tournament.

And after a 3-0 victory over Darius Labanauskas in his opener, the 18-year-old took his winning streak to 15 matches by beating David Davies by the same scoreline in the second round.

Since losing to Matt Campbell at the Players Championship 34, Littler has lifted both the Grand Slam of Darts and the Players Championship titles.

When is Luke Littler playing next?

Littler will take on Mensur Suljovic in the third round of the 2025/26 PDC World Championship.

Their clash will take place in the evening session on Saturday, 27 December.

While unconfirmed as of yet, he will likely be third on stage meaning his game will begin at around 8:40pm.

Should he win, Littler would then face a fourth round meeting with either Australian number one Damon Heta or former champion Rob Cross.

What has Littler said?

Luke Littler revealed that Mensur Suljovic texted him ‘see you in round three’ before the World Darts Championship even began.

Suljovic booked his clash with Littler after with a 3-1 victory over Joe Cullen.

It proved a tense match, with the Austrian being accused of cheating with his slow play.

Speaking after his second round victory, Littler was asked about his next round opponent’s slow play, and told talkSPORT: “Mensur is Mensur, he does what he does, obviously everyone knows he twiddles with his flight before he throws.

“His walk-on is one of the good ones, and before the tournament started, he said ‘see you in round three’.

“So now we’re both in round three and hopefully it can be a good game, a first meeting for the pair of us.”

“He was a bit slower than usual today, but yeah, if he does that, then obviously I’ve got to change my game and make sure I’m not going up to the oche too quick.”
