Brighton will also be looking to get back to winning ways in the league after picking up just one point from their last two matches following their 1-1 draw at home against West Ham on Sunday afternoon.

Fabien Hurzeler’s side have lost only one of their last six matches though, add despite sitting eighth in the Premier League table will be very content and heading into the festive period just three points off the top four.

The Seagulls have lost only one of their last five Premier League matches away from home but have won only one of their last five on the road in all competitions, though that victory did come in their most recent outing at the City Ground a fortnight ago.

Liverpool have won their three of their last four matches against Brighton, but the Seagullls did get the better of the Reds in their most recent meeting back in May.
