Leeds v Crystal Palace prediction

Leeds head into Saturday night’s Premier League fixture in confident mood after going unbeaten in their last three matches, their longest run without tasting defeat so far this season.

The games have come against strong teams as well, beating Chelsea and drawing with defending champions Liverpool and earning a point away at a Brentford side who have a very strong home record this season.

Daniel Farke’s side’s current run of results followed a streak of four consecutive defeats, and has seen them climb outside the relegation zone ahead of this weekend’s bout currently three points clear of 18th placed West Ham.

For all their lack of defeats in recent weeks, the Whites have won only one of their last seven matches, though do have a strong record at home, losing just two of their eight games at Elland Road this season.

Crystal Palace will make the trip to Yorkshire looking to get back to winning ways after their 3-0 home defeat by Manchester City last weekend was followed up with a 2-2 draw against Finnish side KuPS in the Conference League, making 11 changes to their side.

Oliver Glasner’s side had won their previous three matches prior to Sunday’s defeat, and are currently in the midst of a run of five matches in just 12 days, with Saturday’s match coming less than 48 hours after the end of their Conference League stalemate.

Despite their mighty fixture congestion, the Eagles are enjoying a very strong Premier League campaign and head into the weekend sat fifth in the table, just two points behind the top four.

The south London club make the trip to Elland Road with the best away record in the Premier League this season, which I think will help carry them to victory on Saturday with all of their usual starters well rested, I envisage a 2-1 away win.

Leeds v Crystal Palace betting tips

Eagles soaring

Crystal Palace have the best away record in the Premier League this season and sit just two points behind the Champions League positions, while Leeds have won just one of their last eight and sit just one place above the relegation zone.

More Mateta goals

Jean-Philippe Mateta has scored more goals than any other player on either team ahead of Saturday’s clash, with only two players having scored more Premier League goals than the Frenchman this season.

Another Ampadu booking

No player expected to start on Saturday night as been on the receiving end of more yellow cards this season than Ethan Ampadu, who is one of four to been booked on four occasions, but the Leeds captain has done so having played the fewest minutes.
