Laura Woods collapses live on air before Lionesses match as fiance issues positive update
Presenter Laura Woods collapsed while presenting ITV4’s coverage of the Lionesses’ match against Ghana on Tuesday night.
The former talkSPORT host was pulled off air and replaced by Katie Shanahan, who confirmed Woods had been taken ill.

Viewers were left concerned after the 38-year-old suddenly fell and was caught by pundits Ian Wright and Anita Asante during build-up to the game at St Mary’s Stadium.
ITV quickly cut to a commercial break and upon the return of its coverage, Shanahan said: “As you have probably noticed we don’t have the wonderful Laura Woods because she’s just been taken ill.
“But she’s in very good hands so I’m stepping in at late notice.”
Woods ‘all ok’, says fiancé
Woods fiancé, reality TV star Adam Collard, has since given fans a positive update on her condition.
Collard, who featured on ITV’s Love Island, took to X shortly afterwards to confirm Woods is faring well.
He wrote: “Laura is all ok and with the right people. Thank you for all of your kind messages.”
talkSPORT wishes Woods – a popular presenter of our Breakfast Show between 2020 and 2023 – a speedy recovery.
Arsenal legend Wright could be heard asking, ‘Are you OK?’ after catching his colleague, and those at home were similarly worried about Woods in the moment.
One fan wrote on social media platform X: “Hope Laura Woods is alright. Get well soon!”
Another said: “Hope she’s OK. Well played Wrighty.”

The TV star, who presents TNT’s Sport’s coverage of the Champions League, returned to screens in April earlier this year following the birth of her first child in January.
Woods and Collard welcomed a son, Leo Ernie, at the start of the year, 15 months after first going public with their relationship.
In July 2024, Woods announced she was pregnant with their first child, and the pair got engaged in September of the same year.
Having returned to presenting for TNT’s coverage of the Champions League semi-final between Barcelona and Inter Milan, she now juggling full-time work with motherhood.
And top of Woods’ list of priorities as a parent has been making sure her son ends up supporting her beloved Arsenal.
A die-hard Gunners fan, the ex-Breakfast host has revealed in January she and Collard had been battling to secure the footballing loyalties of their newborn.

And it appeared Geordie Collard had gained an early advantage here, as he shared a picture of Leo wearing a ‘Mini Magpie’ baby grow, in reference to his favourite team, Newcastle.
