Parlour made his way across to the famous venue after hosting talkSPORT Breakfast alongside Alan Brazil earlier in the day.

The former England international was serenaded by the Ally Pally crowd after being picked out in the audience.

Having stood up holding two beers, the crowd quickly urged Parlour to down one of his pints.

However, the retired midfielder instead took a sip before returning to his seat.

His antics were met with boos from the rest of the audience, who mocked him with chants of ‘Boring, boring Parlour’.

Their prayers were soon answered, though, as Parlour responded by downing one of his beers to the delight of the fans.

He is not the first former Premier League star to make an appearance at Alexandra Palace this week.

Peter Crouch and Steve Sidwell were both picked out by the TV cameras during Thursday’s evening session.

The former even sent the crowd wild by chugging his pint whilst projected on the big screen.

As a player, Parlour won three league titles and four FA Cups with Arsenal.

Those trophies were amongst 12 he won during his time with the Gunners.

Parlour also had spells with both Middlesbrough and Hull City after leaving north London.

Friday afternoon’s Ally Pally action

Meanwhile, he was treated to a feast of darting action at Ally Pally on Friday afternoon.

The penultimate session of the first round began with Kevin Doets coming back from a set down to beat Matthew Dennant.

Ryan Meikle followed that up by dropping just a single leg on his way to a 3-0 whitewash over Argentine debutante Jesus Salate.

Fan favourite Leonard Gates then became the latest player to steal the show with their walk-on dance moves.
