Kevin Stefanski blamed for Shedeur Sanders’ struggles as Dillon Gabriel’s fiancée takes shot at Browns

The Cleveland Browns are the most fascinating 3-9 team in years.

The latest chapter of the 2025 Browns season has now put head coach Kevin Stefanski and Dillon Gabriel’s fiancée, Zoe Caswell, in the spotlight. Yes, you read that right.

Shedeur Sanders and the Browns lost to the 49ers 26–8, despite actually outgaining San Francisco in total yardage, 253 to 252.

However, Sanders, in his second career start, finished just 16-of-25 for 149 yards and one touchdown with no interceptions. The offense looked porous once again, continuing a troubling trend that has defined their season.

It hasn’t mattered who has been under center, whether it was Joe Flacco, Gabriel or Sanders. The offense has been dreadful, and Stefanski is fully under the gun.

While Sanders has defended his coach, the criticism continues to grow louder.

ESPN Cleveland’s Tony Rizzo accused Stefanski of operating an outdated, almost prehistoric offense rooted in Gary Kubiak’s playbook.

Rizzo hasn’t held back in his critique of the Browns’ offense, as he has all season.

“They need a new offense,” Rizzo claimed. “They need a new coordinator, they need a Ben Johnson.

“Who’s Baker’s OC? Why don’t we just get him, because these guys are running state-of-the-art offense and Stefanski is running a Kubiak system from 40 years ago. And that’s the honest-to-God truth.

“That’s how it was explained to me by a player that played offense in the National Football League, and we’ll leave it at that—no names.”

The Browns currently have the 31st-ranked offense, averaging 258 yards per game, ahead of only the Tennessee Titans.

They rank 29th in points per game, averaging a meager 16.2.

Rizzo has a point.

And Gabriel’s fiancée seems to agree. Caswell took an unneccessary shot at the team on social media following Sunday’s loss.

On Sunday night, Caswell posted a TikTok showing her picking an outfit for the 49ers game, captioning it with “Browns loss, what’s new” and a crying-laughing emoji.

She quickly backtracked, insisting that her caption wasn’t meant to be malicious.

“I completely support the team 100%! Gotta laugh about the losses or else we’ll cry,” Caswell commented.

talkSPORT reacts...Andrew Berry and Kevin Stefanski never seemed to be on the same page

The Browns’ general manager and head coach never seemed to agree on the outlook for Cleveland’s quarterback room, which led to this entire mess.

It was clear that Shedeur Sanders was Berry’s guy, while Dillon Gabriel was Stefanski’s.

While speculation that Stefanski was sabotaging Sanders was laughable at best, there’s a reason the coach stuck with Gabriel as long as he did.

From the outside, it appeared the front office and coaching staff were never on the same page about who would be Cleveland’s quarterback.

Just look at the logjam during training camp, with Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Gabriel, and Sanders all competing for snaps at the same time.

It was always going to be a circus. No one knew what the plan was.

A mediocre save at best, but that’s the state of the Cleveland Browns.

What else is new on the shores of Lake Erie?

And for Stefanski, this circus may soon no longer be his problem.
