Jaguars brutally trolled after leaving ‘corny’ message on Bills locker room wall ahead of wild-card clash

The Jacksonville Jaguars are doing everything they can to make home advantage count in their wild-card showdown with the Buffalo Bills.

Team bosses painted the wall outside the visitors’ locker room with a message claiming that ‘Duuuval’ had been ranked the most intimidating chant in the NFL.

Betway made the suggestion in May after ranking all the contenders on “intensity, loudness, and energy.”

But fans were having none of it and took to social media to mock the paint job.

“Now I hope they lose,” wrote one.

“Oh no we’re cooked,” added a sarcastic Bills supporter.

“Lmao. The corniest chant in the NFL,” a third posted.

Many more shared a video of Jags coach Liam Coen’s awful attempt at doing the chant in his introductory press conference.

Bills have awful playoff record on road

In truth, all Jacksonville had to do was make sure the game was held at EverBank Stadium, which will soon be given a major overhaul, as the teams begin their Super Bowl tilts.

The Bills would have been desperate to pip the New England Patriots to the AFC East title and secure a home playoff draw.

Heading into the wild-card showdown, coach Sean McDermott is 0-5 on the road in the postseason — extending a barren run for the franchise away from Highmark Stadium that stretches back to 1992.

In four of those games with Josh Allen at quarterback, the defense has given up 33.5 points per game, compared to just 19.8 at home.

Jags fans are a scary bunch, apparently[/caption]

Buffalo lost in four consecutive Super Bowls in the early 90s and hasn’t been back since.

In Allen, they have a man capable of leading them there, but the road to AFC glory has been blockaded by Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow, who have inflicted five playoff defeats on him between them.

The Jags have never made the Super Bowl and Trevor Lawrence has been unable to put it all together.

One of the most heralded No. 1 picks for years, the $275 million quarterback finally looks to be living up to the hype in his fifth season.

He had less playoff experience than Allen coming into the game, with just two appearances to his rival’s 13, but perhaps has less baggage from near misses and diminished expectations.
