‘I’m worried about him’ – Hall of Famer shared troubling concern over Jaxson Dart ahead of Monday Night Football
Jaxson Dart returned as the starting quarterback for the New York Giants on Monday Night Football after missing the last two games with a concussion.
Dart has played a somewhat reckless brand of football this rookie season, often throwing his body around—a habit Troy Aikman wants to see less of.

Appearing ahead of Monday Night Football between the Giants and Patriots, Aikman spoke with Scott Van Pelt, Jason Kelce, and the rest of the MNF crew, imploring Dart to take fewer hits.
“When I watch him, and this is going back, he reminds me so much of Jim McMahon,” Aikman began.
“The way in which he plays. He just rallies the team. It’s a little bit like Baker Mayfield in Tampa Bay…I’m excited, I’m thrilled that he’s going to be playing tonight. I’m looking forward to seeing what he’s able to do.
“I’m worried about him… He just has to be able to protect himself a little better than he has…”
Much to Aikman’s plea, Dart took a vicious hit in the first quarter against Patriots linebacker Christian Ellis.
Dart was taking off from the pocket and making a run to the sticks for a first down on 2nd-and-13, but he got blown up by Ellis just short of the marker.
Luckily for the young quarterback, he popped right back up, though a scuffle did break out on his behalf.
More to come…
