Hero World Challenge 2025: What has been said?

Host Tiger Woods is not in the field.

Woods had surgery in March after rupturing his Achilles while training at home and had to undergo another surgery on his back in October.

He said on social media: “After experiencing pain and lack of mobility in my back, I consulted with Doctor and Surgeons to have tests taken.

“The scans determined that I had a collapsed disk in L4/5, disc fragments and a compromised spinal canal. I opted to have my disc replaced yesterday, and I already know I made a good decision for my health and my back.”

While Woods won’t be competing, he should be on hand to give out the trophy to the champion.
