Gabby Agbonlahor calls for Premier League stadium to be folded up into a motorway
Gabby Agbonlahor hilariously hit back at Brentford on talkSPORT after he was mocked by the club on social media.
The former Aston Villa hero was on the receiving end of some playful trolling on TikTok after he questioned Tammy Abraham’s disallowed equaliser in the Bees’ 1-0 victory over his old club.

Abraham thought he had marked his Villa return with a goal, only for it to be controversially disallowed following a lengthy VAR review.
After Jadon Sancho‘s initial shot was saved by Caoimhin Kelleher, the January arrival reacted first to turn home the equaliser.
But replays showed that the ball had appeared to go out of play earlier in the move, with VAR deeming it to have crossed the line before Leon Bailey hooked it back into play.
However, the initial review footage made it unclear whether an angle clearly showing the whole of the ball crossing the line was available.
Gabby goes in
The decision to disallow Abraham’s goal drew plenty of criticism, not least from former Villa star Agbonlahor.
Still furious with the call on Monday morning, Agbonlahor vented his frustrations to host Ally McCoist on talkSPORT Breakfast.
The club icon said: “Don’t get me started Ally. Honestly I’ve never heard Villa Park so angry.
“Listen, was the ball 100 per cent out? No one will ever know.”
Brentford’s brutal response
Agbonlahor was soon left with a red-face, though, as Brentford released footage on social media appearing to show the ball clearly out of play before Bailey drags it over the line.
But the Bees didn’t stop there, as they then took aim at the ex-England international in brutal fashion in a separate post.

In a video shared on the club’s official TikTok page, Agbonlahor’s earlier comments were played side side-by-side with the footage of Bailey failing to keep the ball in play.
Circus music then begins to play after the Villa favourite finishes off by saying ‘no one will ever know’ if the ball went out of play.
The savage clip continues to play Agbonlahor’s comments on a loop as close-up images of the ball out of play get progressively bigger.
Gabby gets his own back
With the TikTok post already amassing 1.4 million views on the platform, it wasn’t long before word got back to the talkSPORT host.
Appearing on Tuesday’s talkSPORT Breakfast, Agbonlahor had the viral video played back to him, leaving co-host McCoist in stitches.
Laughing, the ex-Premier League star jokingly insisted he was still unsure if the ball had gone out of play, saying: “I can’t really tell.

“It’s camouflaged with the pitch. It’s looking out to me, that’s all I’m seeing. I’m colour blind – I can’t see Ally.”
And while he was able to see the funny side of the clip, Agbonlahor soon got his own back, as he mocked the size of Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium.
In a hilarious rant, he began: “So, Brentford’s Gtech Stadium only holds 17,250 fans.
“Teams with a bigger capacity – MK Dons, 30,500 in League Two. Notts County, 19,500 in League Two.
“Bolton Wanderers, 38,700, in League One. Bradford City, 25,000, League One. Huddersfield 24,500, League One.
“Port Vale, 19,000, League One. Plymouth Argyle, 17,440, League One.”

Continuing to reel off bigger venues, Agbonlahor added: “Bristol Rugby Stadium, 27,000. Leicester Tigers Rugby Ground, 25,000.”
And the Villa icon wasn’t done there, as he continued to tear into Brentford’s profile, and mocked them for regularly losing their best players to big name clubs.
He continued “Brentford’s Twitter [now X] followers, 398,000. Benty [Darren Bent] has more than 80,000 more at 480,000. Adrian Durham has only 5,000 less – 393,000 on Twitter.
“Aston Villa have 3 million more followers on Instagram than Brentford.
“They sell their best players – Ivan Toney and [Bryan] Mbeumo, [Yoane] Wissa, [Ollie] Watkins and [David] Raya.
“And also, to finish off, their stadium for me should be folded away after games and used as a motorway.”
