Eddie Hall training partner warns Tommy Fury of biggest danger in boxing fight

Eddie Hall’s frightening power promises to be the real threat to Tommy Fury’s unbeaten record in their bizarre boxing clash.

Hall and Fury, as first revealed exclusively by talkSPORT, are set to square off in an unlikely boxing clash.

The pair will meet in Manchester on June 13 in a blockbuster commercial event staged by Misfits Boxing, despite their mammoth weight difference of over 130lbs.

Fury is the unbeaten boxer from a famous sporting dynasty, who has chosen the influencer boxing road to generate the big bucks from the sport.

But he has far more experience in the sport than Hall, who has had just one fight in the squared circle losing to Thor Bjornsson in 2022.

But the former World’s Strongest Man is an incredible athlete, and has even recently tried his luck in MMA knocking out Mariusz Pudznianowski.

Former four-time World’s Strongest Man, Brian Shaw, is friends with Hall, and has trained with him across MMA and general fitness.

And he believes despite his inexperience that his powerful frame and punching dynamite could see him pose a genuine threat to the far more skillful boxer.

“I’ve seen him throw punches and hit a punching machine while we were together,” he told talkSPORT.com in an exclusive chat to promote his latest arm-wrestling fight.

“He is no joke, he packs a lot of power in his punches. That would be the super dangerous thing for Tommy.

“If he can land one of those, then I’m not sure how well he could take the force of that, it will be huge.

“The question will be is can Eddie land? But Eddie is a very powerful guy.”

Shaw’s thoughts on Hall’s decision to face Fury

Shaw wasn’t aware of the exclusive report that talkSPORT broke when he came to picking a winner.

But he conceded Fury holds all the cards when it comes to natural ability and chances of winning the fight.

The official rules are yet to be revealed with the bout yet to be confirmed publicly, but they may not favour Hall who has been training in MMA.

And Shaw believes Fury will be a real difficult challenge for ‘Beast’ who will likely solely rely on his power.

He added: “I think Eddie with the Pudzianowski fight he was able to use his physical strength.

“The boxing side he walked into Hafthor match with a torn bicep, he went forward with that and boxed with one hand.

“Eddie can do anything, he has a crazy switch and will go in and give it everything.

Tommy Fury is no joke that will be a heck of a challenge. It will be interesting to see if Eddie does a weight cut.

“But it will be the speed vs power component.”

Brian Shaw will take on Leonidas Arkona East vs West Arm Wrestling 23 in Cologne, Germany on April 18 and fans can still get their tickets.
