Ebanie Bridges returning to ring for first time in two years following birth of baby with Kell Brook
Ebanie Bridges is set to return to the ring for the first time since becoming a mother.
The Aussie puncher welcomed her son, Ezerra Ray Brook, into the world in February alongside father and fellow former world champion Kell Brook.

Bridges (9-2) hasn’t stepped between the ropes since dropping her IBF bantamweight title to Miyo Yoshida in December 2023.
However, her 25-month hiatus is due to come to an end on January 3 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on the Amanda Serrano vs Erika Cruz II undercard.
Standing across from her on the night will be Alexis Araiza (3-2-1) of the United States.
“I’m excited to be getting back in the ring after some time out and even more excited to have my gorgeous son ringside,” said Bridges.
“He’s a whole new level of motivation for me.
“I can’t wait to do what I do best: entertain, put on a show, and deliver an exciting fight.
“Puerto Ricans are known for their heart, pride, and aggression, and those qualities are in my fundamentals.
“I think they’re going to love the Blonde Bomber.”
It marks Bridges’ maiden bout with Jake Paul‘s Most Valuable Promotions, who snapped up the 39-year-old in July.
Bridges is set to compete over eight two-minute rounds at her old stomping ground of bantamweight as she looks to claw her way back into the world title picture.

Who else is competing on the card?
‘The Blonde Bomber’ joins the Serrano-Cruz bill alongside several local fighters.
MVP’s Puerto Rican prospect Krystal Rosado (7-1) takes on Canada’s Tania Walters (7-3) in a women’s bantamweight bout contested over the men’s duration of three-minute rounds.
Two all-Puerto Rican showdowns are also included, with bantamweights Abner Figueroa (7-0) of Naranjito and Edwin Rodriguez (12-9-3) of Juana Diaz duking it out before super featherweights Yandiel Lozano (2-0) and Johniel Ramos Cotto (3-2) lock horns earlier on in the night.
A bantamweight bout between Bayamon’s Caleb Tirado and Justin Hill of Iowa will also be added to the card in what will mark both men’s professional debuts.
Capping off the card will be Serrano-managed Alex “Chop Chop” Chaparro (6-0) vs Augusto Leal (3-0) at middleweight, and Raquel Miller (13-0) making her MVP promotional debut against a yet-to-be-announced opponent at super middleweight.
Prior to today’s announcement, the card already included a WBA lightweight title fight between Holly Holm (34-2-3) and Stephanie Han (11-0) in the chief support slot, as well as a quality flyweight bout between Yankiel Rivera Figueroa (7-0-1) and Jonathan Gonzalez (28-4-1).

“With the return of Amanda Serrano and Holly Holm, and the MVP debuts of both Ebanie and Raquel Miller, plus seven additional Puerto Rican fighters joining the event, this card has grown into one of the deepest and most meaningful fight nights we’ve produced, and we are proud to deliver it to Puerto Rico,” said MVP co-founders Paul and Nakisa Bidarian.
“Amanda Serrano will put on a show for her island as she leads an incredible card with 13 fights, featuring the best of women’s boxing and fifteen Puerto Rican fighters.
“Fans in San Juan and around the world are going to witness something special on Saturday, January 3rd, live on DAZN.”
