Drake London injury: What status means for Week 16 vs. Cardinals

The 5-9 Atlanta Falcons head to the desert this Sunday to take on the 3-11 Arizona Cardinals as 2.5-point road favorites. Both teams have been eliminated from the playoffs and are just out there for pride and a paycheck at this point.

The Falcons have been without start wide receiver Drake London since Week 11 when he suffered a knee injury. He has now missed four games with the injury, but is questionable to return this week against the Cardinals.

Drake London injury updates

London finally returned to practice this week and was limited on Wednesday and Thursday, but didn’t practice Friday. That must have been the plan though, as head coach Raheem Morris told reporters that London would play.

Fantasy football analysis

London is WR3 in fantasy points per game this year, so yeah, he was a true fantasy stud before his injury. Kyle Pitts was the only pass catcher to really benefit in fantasy from London’s absence, as Darnell Mooney has been unable to get anything going since his preseason shoulder injury.

If London plays, and it looks like he will, Pitts remains a start, as Kirk Cousins has had a strong connection with him and he just put together one of the greatest tight end performances ever last week. London, who is riskier than usual, is still a must start in a good matchup with the Cardinals.
