‘Don’t look if you’re squeamish’ – Laura Woods shares graphic pictures of horror lampshade accident
Laura Woods has shared a series of graphic images from a nasty facial injury sustained in an accident in 2024.
The presenter was forced to pull out of TNT Sports’ coverage of Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk in May 2024 due to her horror injuries.

How did Woods sustain her injuries?
Woods had been staying at a holiday cottage with partner Adam Collard when she accidentally smashed a glass lampshade after swinging a pillow above her head.
The lampshade subsequently shattered, causing gruesome cuts to Woods’ face and arm.
However, 20 months on from the accident, Woods has shared intimate details of the ordeal with her Instagram followers.
Woods posted a series of photos along with captions outlining the timeline of events in sequential order.
She started off by posting a picture of her before the day of the accident before warning followers of the graphic content to come in the Instagram stories to follow.
And this is our warning to you that we’d advise against you scrolling down further if you are squeamish.
Graphic warning
Woods jumped right in with her first picture showing her undergoing surgery on an eyebrow wound while sporting a large cut under her eye.
Next up was a picture of the eyebrow cut stitched up as surgeons worked on the other cut to her eye.
Woods wrote on the first image “A very bad day, these cuts ended up going down to the bone. But somehow missed my eye.”
While another picture showing her arm wound was captioned: “The back of my arm was a bit of a mess too, but I can’t see that bit.”

Woods posted further images of her face in plaster at the conclusion of the operation while revealing she and her partner drove for five hours to London to see a plastic surgeon in the hope of fixing the wounds.
She went on to post further pictures of her in a hospital gown after the operation and shared information regarding the recovery process which included a trip to Five Guys for a bite to eat.
The presenter admitted that the procedure was a painful one while claiming it was an expensive one.
Woods wasted no time in getting back to work and was on air for the 2024 Champions League final between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
She later revealed that she was pregnant with her and Collard’s son Leo.
Woods spent three years as a popular host of talkSPORT Breakfast before leaving her role in 2023.
She has since gone on to front TNT Sports live broadcasts and ITV’s men’s and women’s football coverage.
