Deontay Wilder vs Derek Chisora LIVE: Date, start time, undercard and how to follow heavyweight showdown

Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora will meet in a shoot-out at the last-chance saloon next weekend, live on talkSPORT.

It marks both men’s 50th and potentially final professional outings.

Chisora, 42, intends to hang up his gloves regardless of who gets their hand raised, while Wilder, 40, won’t have many options left if he falls to defeat.

‘The Bronze Bomber’ has looked like a shadow of his former self since his punishing trilogy bout with Tyson Fury in 2021 and has lost four of his last six fights.

Chisora is in a better run of form, having bested Gerald Washington, Joe Joyce and Otto Wallin in consecutive bouts.

But, like Wilder, he is well past his prime.

While it isn’t a fight that holds massive implications for the future of the heavyweight division, it is compelling nonetheless.

The fight pits two standout names from the last generation against one another, so it will be sure to attract a healthy crowd.

And with that in mind, here’s how you can keep up with the fight.

Wilder vs Chisora: Date and how to follow

This 12-round heavyweight bout will take place on Saturday, April 4.

It is being held at London’s O2 Arena.

Wilder vs Chisora: What has been said?

Wilder said: “I believe in divine timing. Why not here? Some of the best boxing fans in the world live here.

“We have the O2 Arena, Derek Chisora, and I’m looking forward to this…I need it. I need Derek more than he needs me.

“I feel like I’ve been broken down and rebuilt, with high spirits. I can’t wait.”

Chisora added: “Right now we’re just happy to be in the same room hanging out with each other.

“But when he [Deontay Wilder] arrives in April for that first press conference, it’s done. The friendship is out the window.

“Then after four, five, six rounds, when we hug and shake, we’ll be back as brothers.”
