Delta Air Lines passengers will get an extra Masters-themed experience

It is almost time.

Next week will bring the Masters Tournament and everything will be absolutely perfect throughout it. Such is Masters tradition.

It is amazing how time after time, year after year, the Masters does the same incredible job of freezing us all in its lore. We stop, we pause, we forget everything around us, and we take in the beauty that is the greatest sporting event there is.

No one is here to argue about how technology has changed society, but it goes without saying that the Masters does transport us to the past given their no-phone policy. You are forced to live in the moment and rely on the old-school scoreboards. It induces anxiety at first, but it is such a breath of fresh air.

This year Delta Air Lines is providing a similar sort of experience to its passengers headed to Augusta. They are introducing an analogue “Caddie Card” that will invite patrons to plan ahead of their Masters trip.

Select flights from ATL and LAX and at Augusta Regional Airport will feature prompts that encourage patrons (using Masters jargon if not obvious) to write down things like phone numbers, what they want to eat on the Augusta grounds, and what they are hoping to snag at the merchandise shop.

It is a fun throwback on the way to experience the throwback of all throwbacks, and it is something that helps add to the overall lore that the Masters induces as noted. Delta is constantly innovating so this is no surprise, and since becoming a Tournament Partner of the Masters in 2018 they have found a number of ways to bring their passengers closer to the overall experience.

  • Expanded service to AGS, with up to 18 daily flights that increase, peak-day seat capacity from 1,200 to nearly 4,000.
  • New routes include Los Angeles (LAX), Nashville (BNA) and Newark (EWR), and returning routes feature Austin (AUS), Boston (BOS), Washington D.C. (DCA), Detroit (DTW) and New York (JFK).
  • Launched The Masters Collection on in-flight entertainment, bringing original content, Tournament films from 2019 and 2025 and more to seatback screens and personal devices.
  • Introduced AGS installations that are returning for 2026 and will immerse travelers in the Masters, such as a walkthrough of Augusta National’s Second Nine, a ceiling inspired by the Tournament’s iconic green-and-white umbrellas and photo opportunities in baggage claim.

This is very cool from Delta Air Lines. Let us know if you are able to be on one of the select flights and what you write down!
