The New York Yankees formally positioned designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton on the 10-day injured listing Wednesday as he continues to take care of tendinitis in each elbows.
The transfer was retroactive to Monday.
There isn’t any clear timetable for the 35-year-old Stanton’s return. He was bothered by elbow ache final season when he batted .233 with 27 homers and 72 RBIs in 114 video games.
Stanton was one among eight Yankees positioned on the IL on Wednesday.
