The Los Angeles Dodgers positioned infielder Hyeseong Kim on the 10-day injured checklist on Tuesday attributable to left shoulder bursitis.
In a corresponding transfer, the Dodgers chosen the contract of shortstop Alex Freeland from Triple-A Oklahoma Metropolis in his first call-up to the majors.
Kim, 26, performed on Monday and went 0-for-3 with a sacrifice bunt within the Dodgers’ 5-2 street win over the Cincinnati Reds. He’s batting .304 with two dwelling runs, 15 RBIs, 12 stolen bases in 12 makes an attempt and a .338 on-base share in 58 video games.
He has performed principally second base (38 video games, 27 begins) with 16 video games in middle discipline (9 begins) and eight at shortstop (three begins).
Los Angeles signed Kim in January after he performed eight years within the Korean Baseball League.
Freeland, 23, was a third-round decide by the Dodgers in 2022. He was batting .253 with 12 dwelling runs and 71 RBIs in 94 video games with Oklahoma Metropolis.
