Brentford star Igor Thiago equals Premier League record with 17 matches to spare
Igor Thiago has racked up his 15th Premier League goal – the joint-most by a Brazilian in a single season.
The 24-year-old was on target once again for Brentford – this time against Sunderland at the Gtech Community Stadium on Wednesday night.

Thiago broke the deadlock on the half-hour mark after being played in by Vitaly Janelt.
He then proceeded to round goalkeeper Robin Roefs, before coolly slotting home into an empty net.
His goal comes just days after his hat-trick on the road in the stunning 4-1 win at Everton.
And the strike has etched Thiago’s name in history by becoming the fourth Brazilian to fire in 15 goals in a single campaign.
One more strike from Brentford’s remaining 17 top-flight fixtures will see him hold the record outright.
The only previous players to have previously found the back of the net on 15 occasions in the Premier League are Roberto Firmino, Gabriel Martinelli and Matheus Cunha.
