Best DFS picks for Eagles-49ers in Wild Card round matchup

The Philadelphia Eagles host the San Francisco 49ers this Saturday afternoon. The Eagles are 4.5-point home favorites after an inconsistent post-Super Bowl winning season. Both teams have holes that they’ll need to cover up to win in the playoffs, but at this point, the 49ers defense looks the holiest out of both teams, hence the 4.5-point spread.

Below, we will take a look at the best DFS plays for this Wild Card showdown.

Captain’s Picks

Jalen Hurts, QB, Eagles (FLEX $12,400, CPT $18,600)

Hurts has played in nine playoff games and has rushed for a touchdown 10 times in those games. Last season he had five in their four wins. This season the Eagles offensive line wasn’t as dominant as last year, and that hurt the Eagles rushing numbers, including Hurts’ rushing touchdowns. The hope is that they’ll get Lane Dickerson back this weekend. Also, I expect them to keep the tush push going, especially in a must win playoff game.

Christian McCaffrey, RB, 49ers (FLEX $13,200, CPT $19,800)

McCaffrey has shouldered the 49ers for most of the season. His usage remains off the charts great and despite some lower than usual efficiency numbers, he’s been amazing. Jauan Jennings, Ricky Pearsall, and George Kittle are all dealing with injuries and I don’t see how the team doesn’t look to get McCaffrey the ball as much or more than his average of 24 touches.

Saquon Barkley, RB, Eagles (FLEX $11,800, CPT $17,000)

Barkley hasn’t come close to his huge 2024 season, but this is the playoffs and the 49ers are hurting defensively. And with Dickerson hopefully coming back, the Eagles could try to dominate this game on the ground and be successful at it. I’d rather have Hurts or McCaffrey, as Barkley hasn’t been able to dominate games like last season, but I do expect the Eagles to at least try to establish the run early,

Value flex plays

Eddy Pineiro, K, 49ers (FLEX $6,400, CPT $XXX)

Pineiro has only missed one kick this season and has averaged double-digit FanDuel points in the process. This matchup is a tough one to find value in. Pineiro doesn’t have huge upside, but he’s got a good floor compared to the other players in his price range.

Dallas Goedert, TE, Eagles (FLEX $7,400, CPT $11,100)

Goedert has come on strong to end the season, as he’s found the end zone four times in their last three games. He ended up with 11 touchdowns, becoming more of a goal line back than Barkley, who had just seven rushing touchdowns on the season

Demarcus Robinson, WR, 49ers (FLEX $5,200, CPT $7,800)

Robinson took over for Ricky Pearsall last week and could be called upon again if Pearsall can’t suit up against the Eagles. Kendrick Bourne had been getting the call over Robinson, so it’s tough to tell if Robinson has won that job for the playoffs or not, but it would seem like it.
