Bayern Munich react to Harry Kane vs Kylian Mbappe showdown with Leonardo DiCaprio meme
German giants Bayern Munich took a light-hearted approach after their Champions League quarter-final meeting with Real Madrid was confirmed.
FC Hollywood set up a blockbuster clash with the La Liga giants as they eased past Italian side Atalanta in the round-of-16, claiming a 10-2 aggregate victory after Wednesday’s 4-1 home victory.

Harry Kane, Nicolas Jackson, Michael Olise and Jamal Musiala were all on the scoresheet across both legs as Bayern look to go the distance in Europe this season.
Kane’s brace against Atalanta on Wednesday night saw the English striker become the third fastest player to reach 50 Champions League goals.
The England captain reached the landmark on his 66th appearance in the competition, with only Erling Haaland and Ruud van Nistelrooy doing so quicker in 49 and 62 outings, respectively.
Bayern will now face Real Madrid and current Champions League top scorer Kylian Mbappe in the quarter-finals next month after Los Blancos eased to the next round of the competition.
Alvaro Arbeloa’s side claimed a 5-1 aggregate triumph over Pep Guardiola’s team having followed up their Federico Valverde-inspired 3-0 victory over City last week with a 2-1 win at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday.
And Bayern, who are one of the favourites to go the distance in Europe’s elite club competition, took a nonchalant approach to their quarter-final showdown following Wednesday’s win over Atalanta.
The official club account posted a viral meme of Leonardo DiCaprio at the 2026 Oscars over the weekend with the caption: “When you face Real Madrid in the UCL and it’s only the quarter-finals…”
Oscars host Conan O’Brien dubbed the ‘One Battle After Another’ star the ‘king of memes’ having previously seen clips from ‘Django Unchained’ and ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’ turned to memes.
During his opening monologue, O’Brien stated: “Let’s make a new meme with Leo right now.” The camera panned across to DiCaprio, while “TFW you didn’t agree to this” appeared on the screen.
The meme has gone viral over the last few days, with Bayern the latest to join the trend.
Bayern Munich are looking to win the competition for the first time since their success in Lisbon in the 2019-20 season, where they beat 2025 champions PSG 1-0 courtesy of a second half Kingsley Coman strike.
Arsenal, who have already beaten Bayern in the Champions League this season, are the frontrunners to secure European glory, and will face Portuguese side Sporting CP in the quarter-finals.
Elsewhere, PSG are looking to defend their European crown but have to overcome Premier League outfit Liverpool next month.
The Reds are one of two English sides to have made it beyond the round-of-16 after Chelsea, City, Newcastle and Tottenham all failed to progress to the next round.
La Liga pair Barcelona and Atletico Madrid round off the quarter-final ties after they overcame the Magpies and Spurs, respectively.
