Man United are a huge price considering the form they’re in but when you look at their wins this season it’s also no surprise, when they come up against a Villa side who’ve won four on the bounce.

Villa started off the season poorly, struggling to score in their first four games yet have now scored 25 in just 12 matches in the league.

This run of form has seen them rocket not only into the top half of the table but with sustained wins, now in third place and are more than capable of winning against Man Utd at home.

Gamechangers

Bruno Fernandes has scored and assisted a goal in each of his last two league appearances.

Only Ryan Giggs has done so three in a row before and that was back in April 2003, so another solid attacking return from the Portugal midfielder would see him match another huge record for United.

Morgan Rogers has seen eight goal involvements in his last 11 league appearances for Villa, with five goals and three assists.

Villa’s home record tells two stories

Strangely, the majority of these have come away from home, but it’s hard to rule him out on that basis which seems to be coincidental at this stage.

Villa are very strong at home too, with nine wins in a row in all competitions at Villa Park.

That said, against Man United they’ve only won one of their last 26 Premier league home games with as many as 16 losses and nine draws.

With the way these two sides are playing (Man United drawing 4-4 to Bournemouth on Monday night) it wouldn’t be a surprise to see yet another draw.

It would at least keep both of their unbeaten records going and follow the trend of Villa struggling against Man United over the years.

Their only win in that run came in November 2022 when it was Unai Emery’s first game in charge.
