Zimbabwe (ZIM) take on Australia (AUS)ÃÂ in the first ODI in a three-match series at the Harare Sports Club in Harare on Tuesday, September 15.
The Chevrons played their most recent ODI series in July against Bangladesh in Harare. They won the first two matches by the barest of margins before being outplayed in the third. The 2-1 series win will give them confidence heading into the clash against Australia, who will pose a much stiffer challenge.
On the other hand, Australia's last ODI assignment was also against Bangladesh. This series was played in Dhaka in June. An inexperienced Australian side lost the first two matches without giving much fight. They won the last game by one wicket but it only served as a consolation as the series was lost 2-1.

Harare Sports Club: Pitch Report
The Harare Sports Club in Harare is expected to provide a surface where there is going to be a good contest between bat and ball. Fast bowlers could play a crucial role in the game as the high altitude could help them get some good bounce. The new-ball spells are also going to be important. The captain who wins the toss would want to bowl first to take advantage of early moisture which could be there on offer.

ZIM vs AUS: Probable Best Performers of the Match:
Probable Best Batter: Cooper Connolly
Cooper Connolly played a remarkable knock in the last ODI played by Australia. The opening batter scored 149 off 134 balls in testing conditions and helped Australia avoid a whitewash. He is likely to move to No. 3 with the returns of Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh. Expect the southpaw to play a key role.
Probable Best Bowler: Blessing Muzarabani
Blessing Muzarabani has been Australia's nemesis in the past. He is going to be the bowler to watch out for on Tuesday. His height gives him an added advantage, especially at a venue where there is good carry for the pacers. If he gets his lines right, he could be quite a handful for the Aussies.
