Following her WWE WrestleMania 42 loss to Liv Morgan, Stephanie Vaquer went on a long hiatus. After staying away from WWE appearances for several months, Vaquer returned last month, in Aug. 2026.
A regular face on the roster since then, Vaquer recently faced and defeated Morgan at a house show in Chile to win back her Women's Championship. Recently speaking to Rueda en el Ring, Vaquer revealed undergoing surgery during her time away from the promotion.
âÂÂIt was very difficult because coming out of surgery and having to wait without training, that was the hardest thing IâÂÂve ever had to do in my life. Not being active in my training, but I when I returned to the ring, and I stepped back into a ring felt like coming back to life for me.
âÂÂIt was a needed break for the sake of my health, but I am back better than ever and IâÂÂm going to keep going just as always disciplined in my training and showing what IâÂÂm made of,â Vaquer said. However, despite the surgery admission, the Chilean wrestler did not reveal any details regarding the surgery's reasons.
