Apparently, working in professional wrestling isn't a lucrative gig for rapper Lil Yachty, who has been Trick Williams' WWE manager and an in-ring talent after making his debut recently.

During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Yachty promised fans that he is invested in wrestling, and it's not about the paycheck. In fact, he is “losing money” working for WWE.

“I don’t want anybody thinking I’m getting some crazy check,” he said. “I’m losing money doing this, but I love it. I love everything about this s**t.”

He explained that he's losing money because he's “not doing anything as much” while in WWE. Yachty also has a security guard, assistants, and friends to look out for on the road.

This adds a lot of responsibility to his plate, but he wouldn't change a thing. Yachty concluded, “I'm doing this 'cause I love this s**t; this is, like, everything to me.”

When asked if he has goals in mind for his WWE career, he said that he wanted to make the Hall of Fame one day. He's already on a good track to do so.

Over the years, Yachty has attended several WWE shows as a fan. In March 2026, he made his debut as Williams' manager on Friday Night SmackDown. This led to him walking the Superstar to the ring at WrestleMania 42.

He remained in the role over the coming months, and Yachty would make his in-ring debut at Sunday Night's Main Event on Sep. 6.

Yachty faced Baron Corbin in a match with a five-minute time limit. If the rapper survived the five-minute clock, Williams would get a rematch against Corbin for the United States Championship.

The “One Night” rapper survived, and Williams would defeat Corbin to regain the United States Championship at Sunday Night's Main Event.
