A couple of years ago, in Jun. 2024, former WWE wrestler 2 Cold Scorpio, aka Charles Scaggs, was charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action in Kansas City, Missouri. He was taken to jail on Sept. 17, 2026, following his court hearing.
His trial's commencement was scheduled for Aug. 3, 2026. In 2024, Scaggs and another man were at LoveâÂÂs Travel Stops, where Scaggs worked as a security guard. The two mentioned entities had a fight at about 3 AM after Scaggs asked him to extinguish his cigarette.
âÂÂDuring the scuffle, Scaggs told authorities he pulled a knife from his pocket and stabbed the guy in self-defense. The wrestler said the altercation went on for several more moments â and in the squabble, he got in a few more stabs too. Cops say when they arrived on the scene, they found the guy who was stabbed lying on the ground ⦠bleeding from his head, chest, buttocks, legs and abdomen. They added that he was transported to a local hospital ⦠as he was going in and out of consciousness. According to the docs, though, investigators were able to make contact with him at the medical facility later in the day ⦠where they say he told them Scaggs was the aggressor in the situation,â TMZ reported the above details about the case.
As per the recent court documents, Scaggs admitted to the offense of having a firearm, which was a violation of his bond. After this, the prosecutors filed a motion, revoked his bond, and sent him to jail.
They noted that his having a firearm âÂÂis a danger to public safety.â He is next set to be in court for his sentence on Oct. 9, 2026, at 3 pm. He previously pleaded guilty to charges of second-degree assault and armed criminal action.
Scaggs, 60, continued to work indie wrestling dates through the years, including three indie matches in 2024 following his arrest and four in 2025. He has not wrestled anywhere in the last 13 months.
