The 2026 WNBA regular season is finally in the books. That means the 2026 WNBA playoffs are next on the league calendar. Speaking of the league calendar, the WNBA just released the complete schedule for the first round of the postseason ahead of this weekend's action.

ESPN's Alexa Philippou revealed the league's complete schedule for the quarterfinals on Friday.

The four series that will take place in the first round are:

  • No. 1 Lynx vs. No. 8 Liberty
  • No. 2 Valkyries vs. No. 7 Wings
  • No. 3 Aces vs. No. 6 Fever
  • No 4 Dream vs. No 5. Mystics

Game 1 of all four of those matchups will take place back-to-back on Sunday, September 27th. The action begins at 2 p.m. ET with the Lynx hosting the Liberty on ABC. That is followed by Aces vs. Fever at 4 p.m. ET on ABC. Then the Dream host the Mystics at 7 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime. Finally, Valkyries vs. Wings concludes the quadruple-header at 9 p.m. ET on USA/CNBC.

The schedule gets a bit more segmented after the exciting gauntlet of Game 1 contests. There will be two games per day from Tuesday September 29th through Friday October 2nd. Not all games will be necessary depending on how each three-game series plays out.

Aces vs. Fever and Lynx vs. Liberty will play Game 2 on September 29th with a potential Game 3 taking place on Thursday October 1st.

Meanwhile, Dream vs. Mystics and Valkyries vs. Wings will have Game 2 on September 30th with a potential Game 3 on Friday October 2nd.

This first round includes some incredible matchups between some of the best players in the W. Napheesa Collier and Olivia Miles going up against Brenna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu should feature plenty of fireworks. For a different flavor, Caitlin Clark and A'ja Wilson will do battle in what could be the best defensive series of the first round.

It will be exciting to see which teams start their series with a Game 1 win this weekend.
